When I grew up there was vinyl, and cassette tapes. You listened to albums, and sometimes singles. But the album seems to be losing the battle with MP3 downloads. People listen to individual songs rather than albums – I think that’s a shame. I really, really like music – especially a well-arranged album, which has a certain flow to it. Where the artist takes you by the hand, and leads you through a music wonderland – where at the end of one song you know which one comes next.(You can tell that I’m not using my “shuffle” buttons much…)
On this blog I would like to share what I am listening to. Maybe you’ll like one artist, and could be interested to another artist (that you don’t know yet) by extension. That’s how Amazon does it – “people who like this, also like that…”. “People that bought this, also bought that.” A great way to find out about new music (or books) based on the taste and knowledge of people that you have never met. So feel free to leave me some of your suggestions, and I will try to listen to it and then publish my “verdict”.
